Timothy Kasprick: Yorkton

I am a Yorkton area family farmer with a wealth of experience and talent to bring to the position of MLA for Yorkton. I have a degree in Economics and Political Science and a diploma Health Information Management. This education was the foundation for my former career in the Sunrise Health Region and later the Saskatchewan Health Authority (SHA). I left the SHA in 2021 as the draconian measures taken during COVID changed the direction of healthcare in a way that I could not continue to be part of. Seniors dying of loneliness and isolation, children subjected to ruthless vaccine mandates and families and neighbours torn apart. It was the Buffalo Party’s brave stance against COVID restrictions that caught my attention in 2020 and I went on to join the Buffalo Party. It has been one of the best decisions that I have made – what a team!

We are the leaders on innovative common sense solutions for Saskatchewan on healthcare, economy and education. We believe in rural healthcare and will get Yorkton’s new hospital built! Every corner of Saskatchewan needs quality healthcare. The neglect of rural healthcare has left 100,000’s of thousands of Saskatchewan residents in peril and plugged Regina and Saskatoon facilities from being overwhelmed with patients across the province unable to find care in their own community.

The Buffalo Party can back up its promises with real plans including doubling Saskatchewan’s oil production! Saskatchewan has a wealth of oil resources that we will capitalize on and not stifle. This doubling of production can generate enough dividend revenue to eliminate the need for the PST like PST-free Alberta. Our coal resources have 300 years-worth of supply for power generation so why would we abandon it – we won’t! The Buffalo Party will promote expanded carbon capture at our proven coal generation facilities as CO2 is a valuable and saleable resource.

What would happen to your household budget if your electricity bill doubled or tripled? Let’s not let that happen and demand transparency from the government on proposed nuclear power plants. The proposed Small Modular Reactor (SMR) program has unknown multibillion dollar costs and will rely on imported enriched uranium from other countries instead of picking a nuclear design that can use Saskatchewan’s rich uranium resource. Why would we want to become dependent on a country such as France for our energy resources when we have plenty of our own energy resources? I am in currently in a Freedom of Information court case to get this information released and expose the outrageous cost of nuclear reactors.

Do you support schools providing quality education without the indoctrination of students? So does the Buffalo Party! Teachers and parents are to be partners providing education to children and there is no place in education for the system to conspire against parents to indoctrinate children with extremism to leave children broken rather than educated in knowledge and life skills needed for a promising future.
